This photo was taken the next day, May 14 after sleeping overnight at Dughla. Click the "Enlarge" button and you'll see Moti some distance ahead of me. I'm on the way to Pheriche (14,042') which is just barely visible off in the distance. The far off mountain is Ama Dablam from the back. Already, the drop in altitude was making breathing easier and this gentle downhill trek in this beautiful valley was easier than the other treking we had done. Nonetheless, my injury hurt so much that I was lagging over an hour behind. At Pheriche, where we stopped for lunch, I swallowed some Tylenol and after lunch, when we headed off to the monastery at Tengboche (12,664'), my pace picked up.
