Functions
  • Disperses Heat.
  • Used to regulate Stagnant Liver Qi.
  • Raises the Yang/Qi in patterns of Spleen or Stomach Qi Deficiency.
  • Cautions
  • Contraindicated in case of Liver Yang Rising
  • Only use with tonic herbs if there is Yin or Blood Deficiency
  • Toxicity
  • occasionally causes nausea and vomiting, in which cases dosage should be lowered. Relatively safe for medium term use
