Dries Wetness and transforms Phlegm, especially in conditions of copious sputum.
Lowers rebellious Stomach Qi and stops vomiting.
Can be used together with hard-to-digest herbs in order to prevent Stagnation.
Primary herb of choice when Qi Stagnation, Wetness and Spleen Qi Deficiency
are all present.

Contraindicated in dry cough from Deficiency of Yin.
Use cautiously in conditions of coughing up of blood, Hot Phlegm, or
Dry Excess Heat.
